A message from Alabama Democratic Victory.

Alabama Democrats have long championed a woman’s right to choose. The recent United States Supreme Court ruling in Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization has immediately and negatively impacted women and Alabama families. Sadly, the “trigger” law in Alabama that was passed by the Republican supermajority in 2019 is now in effect and is one of the nation’s most restrictive. Despite this, Alabama Democrats have continued to propose legislation and support policies to expand women’s rights and access to affordable health care.

We will not give up. We cannot give up. We are organizing, fighting back, and working to get Alabama Democrats elected in 2024 and beyond. Please consider investing in our state’s future and getting yourself involved HERE.

The #AlabamaAbortionBan is not pro-life, it is only pro-birth. Historically, Republican policies abandon our most vulnerable citizens the moment they are born through bottom-tier nutrition, housing, health and education programs.

The ban is not pro-health. If allowed to become law, the abortion ban will damage women’s health outcomes and drive doctors away from a state that is a leader in infant mortality, maternal mortality, cervical cancer, and countless other systemic women’s health issues.

The ban is not fiscally responsible. It will cost Alabama millions upon millions of dollars in court costs in a fight that pro-choice advocates will ultimately win.

The ban is not pro-business. The abortion ban has the potential to drive away billions of dollars in economic and job development in a state that sorely needs it.

The ban is not Alabama. This is not who we are. Citizens of Alabama value the ability to make their own choices and keep the government out of private health decisions.

We’re not giving up and neither should you. We will fight this and we will win.
